Lace Cyprus Crafts

In Pano Lefkara, we have been making the famous Lefkara lace since Leonardo Da Vinci visited our village in the year 1481.
He bought a handmade table cloth in the Leonardo Da Vinci design.

It was taken back to the Duomo Cathedral in Milano, and if you visit, you will see it there on the holy table.

The art of lace making has been handed down from family to family My 7 year old daughter Aliki has her own embroidery cushion and own design.

Icon painting is a delicate affair as well.
Most monasteries practice the discipline but you will find a waiting list to purchase one if you so wish.
